About

Hey there.

I’m a Californian who traded sunny skies for Dutch clouds many moons ago and hasn’t looked back. Over the past two decades, before shifting to freelancing, I’ve worked as a Flame artist and VFX Supervisor with Glassworks Amsterdam (Head of 2D), the Ambassadors and the OG Method Studios on some truly incredible projects. Along the way, I’ve collaborated with amazing talent, explored new places, and had the privilege of mentoring up-and-coming artists.

My clients have included Nike, Adidas, Apple, Coke, Heineken, Google, Samsung & Sony among many others. I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide range of directors such as John Hillcoat, Derek Cianfrance, Mark Molloy, Wally Pfister, Fleur Fortuné, Sanjay De Silva and Paul Geusebroek.

My love for VFX began with walking dinosaurs and Jeff Goldblum, but my favorite projects aren’t always the flashy ones. I’m drawn to work that subtly supports the narrative, where the visuals are key to telling the story. I like to think of myself as equal parts creative and technical. I’m not a fan of repetitive tasks, so I often end up writing scripts or hooks to automate them…and find ways to make life a little easier for myself and the team!

When I’m not behind a Wacom, you’ll likely find me experimenting in the kitchen or trying to shape a lump of clay into something that my wife won’t mind having on display in our home.

These days I’m enjoying the freedom to collaborate on new projects and meet interesting people – if you’d like to chat, feel free to drop me a line!
